The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, had a meeting today with the delegates of Durrës, regarding the National Convention of April 27.

Meta spoke about the preparations for the Convention, which according to him will be a historic Convention.

After talking about the opposition action and the "democratization" of the Freedom Party, as the main objective of this Convention, Meta again came out of the context of the purpose of the meeting, factoring himself more than the Party.

He compared himself to one of Britain's most prominent politicians, Winston Churchill, who led his country through its most difficult period, during the Second World War.

"Churchill left Potsdam, where he had gathered with important dignitaries, and told them to meet on Monday that there are elections in Britain.

Convinced that a man who won the War, would have a certain victory in his country, in time of peace."

Further, Meta continued with the outdated slogans that the Freedom Party is the most democratic party, although he firmly acknowledges the fact that he will install one in the Party.

"I heard that I am a dictator. But I choose that we need people of character and integrity. And we will firmly install the unit, that is, character and integrity.

Our opposition action will encourage and motivate all other opposition forces," said Meta./ CNA
