The Minister of Youth, Bora Muzhaqi organized a series of activities for the youth of Saranda in accordance with and implementation of the National Youth Strategy 2022-2029.

With a focus on youth, the activities began with the friendly volleyball championship for the youth of Saranda, Konispoli, Delvina and Ksamil, where the Delvina representative team was announced as the winner of this championship.

Beyond the great role that sports activities play in the lives of young people, another very important element continues to be the awareness and education of young people about certain social issues such as violence in society.

The young people part of the project "7x7 - Prevention of violence and crime among young people through sensitization and legal education among peers" implemented with the support of the National Youth Agency, put on a sensitization show about gender-based violence, reinforcing the message that they share violence must be reacted to.

The minister appealed to young people to react immediately to acts of violence committed against them or their peers. According to the minister, Muzhaqi, it is very important that acts of violence are reported to the relevant authorities for an effective solution based on the law.

"Through this project, over 150 young people are being trained, to further train their peers on the importance of protecting human and youth rights, on gender-based violence, to address it, how to react and how be protected from it." said Minister Muzhaqi, who added that the young people's acting performances demonstrated that a very small moment can escalate if handled in the wrong way, but also that even the biggest problems can be solved with love and dedication.

The minister has a valuable advice for young people "Think before you act, one small action changes your whole life".

The National Youth Strategy is a product created by the young people and their own demands, for this reason Minister Muzhaqi responded with great desire to the request of the young people of Saranda to discuss their ideas and demands.

The activities culminated with the "Youth 360 degrees" party, which took place on the city's pedestrian street, in which the young people of the city of Saranda and the surrounding municipalities participated, as well as many tourists who have populated Saranda even before the tourist season has started.

Muzhaqi was accompanied in these activities by the Minister of Agriculture, at the same time the MP of the area, Anila Denaj, together with the other MP Niko Kuri and the Mayor of Saranda, Oltion Çaçi./ CNA
