The police deny the news/ The activist in the protest is not the person

The State Police has reacted to the news reported in the media that a person disguised as a policeman was convicted in Italy in 2008 and was infiltrated by the mayor Erion Veliaj to terrorize the protesters.

The police state that this news is untrue and that the person who was at the protest has been part of the police since January 2022.

The statement states that the person denounced by the Italian media is another citizen, since the officer in 2008 was only 8 years old.

"Regarding a news published on several portals about a police officer, we clarify the public opinion that after the verifications carried out, the published news is untrue.

The EFZ citizen, born on 07.11.2000, became part of the State Police structures in January 2022, after completing the General Patrol course at the Police College, near the Security Academy.

The article published in the Italian media refers to the event that happened in 2008, and at that time the police officer, EFZ citizen, was 8 years old.
