The Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Úngjëll Agaçi, has reacted to the accusations made against him by an Italian show, "Report" on "RAI 3".

This show talked about the Rama-Meloni agreement for immigrants, where it was emphasized that the key person in this agreement is Úngjëll Agaçi. calling him a former lawyer of drug traffickers in Tirana. 

"The key person in the agreement requested by the Meloni government is Engjëll Agaçi, secretary of Prime Minister Edi Rama and former lawyer of the main exponents of the Albanian mafia in Italy, at the center of a sensational attempt to bribe the head of Interpol in Rome... Agaçi is an important Albanian lawyer with an office in Rome. In the past, his clients were also some of the main bosses of the Albanian mafia, tried in Italy".

After the show, Agaçi reacted, warning that he will file a lawsuit against the show, stating that he has left this position for 10 years and that the comparison made to him was very damaging to his reputation.

"I left my legal position ten years ago and the comparison made by the television program 'Report' is very damaging to my reputation. I have already instructed my Italian lawyers to file a defamation lawsuit against the Italian state television program. Sources must be verified and so must the news."

It is hinted in political circles that the instigator of the attacks on Agac and the prime minister is the mayor Erion Veliaj./ CNA
