The head of the ILD, Artur Metani, stated in the Committee for Civic Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight that for five years he has requested that the way the law regulates the employment and command of inspectors at the ILD be the subject of institutional debate.

Responding to the question regarding the measures taken by the High Prosecutorial Council (KLP) and the High Judicial Council (KLGJ) for the command of magistrates, Metani said that he has raised this concern since the beginning of the institution's functioning.

"Five years ago, I requested that the law's relationship with the issue of employment and command of inspectors at the ILD should be at least a subject of debate," he said.

According to the head of the ILD, the discussion on the legal framework that regulates these processes is necessary to guarantee the best possible functioning of the institution and to avoid ambiguities in the implementation of procedures related to the command and engagement of inspectors.
