Alfred Peza is accused in SPAK of abuse of office, falsification of documents

The director of Albanian Radio and Television, Alfred Peza, has been reported to SPAK for falsification of documents, abuse of office, corruption and theft by deception.

The report, which was submitted today to SPAK, was made by Denisa Begolli Pllaka, who held the position as coordinator of RTSH.

She claims that she was unfairly dismissed from her position in violation of the law, in order to favor other people for the job position she held.

"I, the complainant Denisa Plaka, have a contribution of 5 years without interruption at the Albanian Radio Television, which is being 'desecrated' by some people in open violation of the law, with the aim of favoring other people, in relation to the job position where I work. These actions are in open violation of Article 9 of the Labor Code and in open violation of Law No. 10 221 dated 02.04 the decision (order) No. 376 recorded with No. 1744/1 Prot dated 31.05.2024 for my indefinite suspension with the claim that I did not check the materials before the transmission, and then the decision to terminate the employment relationship was issued of this report, I request criminal prosecution for the General Director, for the illegal decision to dismiss the employee Denisa Begolli (Old Woman) on 14.06.2024, after he did not take into account the lawsuit in the Administrative Court on 07.06.2024, which suspends every decision of this institution and the payment of the salary until the court's decision on the settlement of the claim", the complaint states.

Meanwhile, at SPAK, Plaka has reported two other RTSH employees, Blerta Filopati and Olsjan Laskaj, for falsifying documents.

The decision to dismiss Denisa Plakas was taken by Peza on June 14 and the employee was ordered to leave her position on June 18.

A few weeks ago, regarding the dismissal, Denisa Plaka in a statement for CNA stated that the motivation for the dismissal does not stand, as the mistake that was made was not her responsibility, but the director's.

The old woman warned that she would start proceedings for a court process related to the dismissal, as according to her everything is illegal. He threw direct accusations at Peza as well.

"This is what they are doing with all the employees. They find reasons and get hold of people because they want them to be fired. The motivation in the decision is not there, since for the mistake that was made, the task was the director's and not mine. I I was in the role of coordinator. I was initially suspended from work on May 31 for not checking the materials before the broadcast, a task that did not belong to me, but to the director. I addressed the RTSH Management Council with a letter dated 3.06.2024. , from which I have not received any response. On 7.06.2024, I sued RTSH in court. My dismissal is illegal, not only because of the non-existent reasons, but also because of the fact that the court should speak about my case forces the RTSH to stop all procedures until the court decides on my case", she said.

The head of RTSH continues with the dismissals of employees in this institution that is paid for by the taxes of Albanians.

All dismissals against professionals, such as journalists, directors, technicians, financiers and cameramen, started as soon as Peza took over the direction of RTSH in June 2023. /CNA
