Smoothies and coffee can disrupt digestion and cause problems like heartburn in the morning. If you choose a smoothie, make sure it has protein and fiber, and avoid artificial sweeteners. A better alternative is a full breakfast of Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, avocado, and whole grains.

Quick options from bakeries often contain a lot of sugar and little nutritional value.
