"The flu, more aggressive"/ Skënder Brataj: COVID has never gone away

Skënder Brataj, director of the National Emergency Center, spoke about the situation of viruses and COVID in our country, where it is reported that flu cases have increased.

During an interview, Brataj stated that COVID has never gone away and that the flu is more aggressive.

"There is nothing to worry about. We are in a normal flu season. We must bear in mind that there are billions of viruses circulating. In the conditions in which man interferes with nature, it is normal that there may be an activation of viruses."

There has been an increase until last week. Last week there was an average of 14 cases per day, which is 4 more than last year. This is typical of this period.

COVID has never gone away. It is less harmful than the flu at this moment. These two years have been different, what happened? The last two or three years there was an isolation. COVID has now emerged weaker, it has run its course. The greatest isolation was in China", said Brataj./ CNA
