School safety/ Balla from Mamurrasi: Children should not fall prey to criminal

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, visited the secondary school of Mamurras where he saw closely the implementation of the measures for the School Safety Package and the problems.

The Mayor of Kurbini, Majlinda Cara, explained details about the measures taken to implement the security package in schools, as well as other issues related to the improvement of the infrastructure in the premises around the school.

In the meeting with the educational staff of the school, Minister Balla emphasized that the only secondary school of Mamurras is an institution for which the State Police and the Local Police Commissariat have a special attention, also because of its location.

"Therefore, the definition of the security perimeter should include all the roads and alleys that lead to school. So for me it is a special concern that even in Mamurras, we guarantee your parents, who have entrusted us with this task, that, not only at school, but also outside school, you do not fall prey to any criminal activity, mainly in the field of distribution of narcotics, which is a big challenge of our entire society. So I invite the educational team, the leaders of education and definitely with the unstinting support of your tireless mayor to win this battle and protect the children from any kind of phenomenon, because in addition to the phenomenon I mentioned there are other phenomena, it is the phenomenon of bullying or other certain phenomena", emphasized Minister Balla.

In a meeting with representatives of the school senate, he stated that the goal is the security package in schools, with special importance.

"Cooperation with the senate of your school is important, where we welcome from you, through the school principal, the security officer, and also from the senate, to receive complaints, welcome, about problems that you think harm your colleagues.

The phenomenon of bullying is a phenomenon that must be fought. But one of the phenomena that worries your parents, grandparents, is the phenomenon of narcotics, from which Mamurrasi is not an exception, on the contrary.

Together with the mayor, the General Director of Police, the heads of education at the regional level, we want to do everything possible, so that the moment you leave school, there is always a police officer following this moment" , Balla added.

In the meetings held with the educational staff and the school senate, Balla was accompanied by Deputy Minister Lamallari, the General Director of the Rrumbullaku Police and other police leaders in the district./ CNA
