"The government is destroying the nation"/ Berisha: Rama is closing

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, during his speech at today's protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama, with his thefts, is closing Albania's doors to the EU.

He emphasized that this government is depopulating the nation and that Albanians have many reasons to protest.

"You are the spokesperson for all Albanians, all free citizens. In this respect, you are an inspiration for every Albanian."

The motives of the protest today are endless. The government has lost all legitimacy. It is the fruit of the electoral farce of trampling on your will, on your vote, it is the fruit of a monstrous crime of world proportions, the blackest drug cartels that poison the children of Europe and beyond. The protest is against a government that steals from its citizens from morning to night.

This government must be overthrown one day sooner rather than later. The protest is vital against a government that in 13 years impoverished Albanians. It has made them the citizens with the lowest pensions in the world today. Half of the citizens are in poverty.

The government is destroying this nation, it is driving Albanians out of Albania. Today we call on every Albanian to protest.
