Report for May 11/ Alimehmeti: It showed that the playing field was uneven, we have a party-state

Democrat Ilir Alimehmeti stated today that the situation in the Democratic Party after the May 11 parliamentary elections should not be oriented towards the departure of DP leader Sali Berisha.
Invited to A2CNN, Alimehmeti said that the result of May 11, both for the DP and other parties, is the electoral system itself.
"In these elections, some districts fared worse than others. Berisha should not leave. No, I don't think so at this moment. This depends on whether or not there is support from the membership. As someone who comes from the field, I think that if it's a matter of finding clauses... It seems like the problem in this country is the DP. If that were the case, the DP is all to blame, but there were 9 other forces and many other offers. The SP doesn't want it, the DP doesn't want it. The system won't let you do whatever you want. We're dealing with the second without solving the first. The system was made wrong. When it was made, there were voices against it," said Alimehmeti. /CNA
