Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the dialogue table at the Berlin Global Dialogue, was also asked about US President Donald Trump.

Rama described the American president as very engaging and entertaining and indicated that he sees him on social networks. Further, Rama also said that God saved Trump from the assassination attempt and to save Europe. Rama stated that if Europe wants to maintain its importance in the world arena, it must change rapidly.

A change that, according to Rama, should start with what happened leading up to the election of Trump as US president and then the war in Ukraine. The Prime Minister said that in general the EU lacks transparency and sincerity when it needs to change rapidly.

 

" It's very engaging and entertaining. Of course I see it. I continue to believe that God saved Trump to save Europe. Europe needs to pull itself together and understand that if it is to maintain its relevance it needs to change quickly. Starting with reflecting on what happened up until Trump's election and then with the war in Ukraine. In general, the EU, when given the urgency to act to change, has many shortcomings in being direct and honest.
