The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, has stated that he is one of the only people who has fought with Lulzim Basha to avoid losing his mandates.
In a television interview, Mediu said that even regarding the Electoral Reform, he emphasized that it is not done behind the scenes of the Socialist Party.
"I was probably one of the only ones who fought with Mr. Lulzim Basha to not waste his mandate. I also said about the electoral reform, that it cannot be done behind the scenes of the Socialist Party. We know very well what happens. This has proven to be true. The opposition needs transparency. We have killed the hope of some people in the PR or the Agrarian Party. I am such a democrat that I also appreciate Mr. Berisha. I have been in the same trench with him," said Mediu./ CNA
