"We worked for votes, Jozefina was looking at the cup"/ Rama reacts to

Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke today for the first time regarding the Democratic Party's decision to appeal the results in the country's regions, including Berat. In his speech from the meeting he is holding this Monday with Socialist Party deputies at the Brigades Palace in Tirana, Rama also touched on the diaspora vote, as part of the final election result, but also as an issue on which the opposition has raised claims.

Rama said that while the Socialist Party was working for votes from the diaspora, especially Greece, the political leader for the diaspora in the DP, Jozefina Topalli, was watching fate in the cup.

Rama said that Topalli was crying over pluralism in the envelopes that came from Greece, which in Berat made the SP the winner.

According to Rama, votes from the diaspora were taken by the party that mobilized the immigrants the most.

"Returning as a Doruntina, on the saddle of the closed list, Jozefina was crying out with tears for pluralism from the envelopes that came from Greece to the Berat Region, where the SP had won 11% of the votes. So, we are the 'killers of pluralism' and they have no idea how to work with the diaspora. Berat is among the regions that have excelled in mobilizing Albanians abroad for the May 11 elections. We started it a long time ago. We set up a diaspora bloc. They would get up at 8 am every Monday and visit every municipality. It was a volunteer network of the SP in Greece and further afield and wherever Albanians are. When we did this, Jozefina was going to the cup of fate, which turned out well like in the Doruntina movie. This only depends on who mobilized them the most", said Rama. /CNA
