The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, participated in the opening ceremony of the 32nd Annual Meeting of the ENIC-NARIC Networks, taking place in Tirana, with participants from all over Europe. ENIC-NARIC is the official European network for the recognition of diplomas and qualifications obtained abroad.

During her speech, Minister Manastirliu emphasized the Albanian Government's commitment to reforming higher education and increasing connectivity with European education systems:

"We are implementing a comprehensive reform, which includes profiling higher education institutions, based on national and regional priorities, as well as their internationalization. Our HEIs count over 40 joint programs with renowned international institutions from Italy, France, Greece, Poland, Turkey, which further enrich the academic offer in Albania not only for young Albanians, but also for those from the region. These collaborations make the Albanian diploma more valuable in the European labor market. The Ministry of Education and Sports, in accordance with the strategic priorities of the Albanian government, considers education as a fundamental pillar for the country's development and European integration, therefore it offers maximum commitment to strengthening cooperation bridges with partners and appropriate networks, such as ENIC-NARIC", said the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu.

The three-day meeting of the ENIC-NARIC network is taking place at the University of Arts and the Polytechnic University of Tirana and brings together senior representatives of educational institutions and the recognition of qualifications from the member states of the Council of Europe and the European Union. Albania is hosting this important international event in the field of higher education for the first time.

ENIC-NARIC comprises two interconnected networks: ENIC (European Network of Information Centres), created by the Council of Europe and UNESCO, and NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centres), created by the European Commission. Each country has a national centre that provides official information on academic recognition. The network includes 55 member states, including all EU countries, the EHEA, the USA, Canada, Turkey, Israel and several Central Asian countries. /CNA
