The head of the Federal Democratic Party of Albania (FRPD), Besart Xhaferri, reacted today regarding the incident that occurred in a kindergarten in Gramsh, where children were poisoned by salmonella. Through a post on social networks, Xhaferri accused the Ministry of Education of treating the case with propaganda, while not taking any responsibility for this scandal.

Xhaferri states that the event was also minimized by the head of the Gramsh Municipality, since the institution conducting the investigation is headed by his brother.

According to Xhaferri, as children are poisoned, gangs threaten parents not to go to protests.

"The poisoning of 72 children in the Gramsh public kindergarten by salmonella is being covered up with propaganda by the Ministry of Education and concealment of data regarding the number of children poisoned by other institutions."

The Minister of Education, while not taking any responsibility for this scandal in a public educational institution, at a time when parents had come out to protest in the center of Gramsh, published on her social media page images of the investment for the reconstruction of the "Rilindja" school in Gramsh.

After Manastirliu, the mayor of Gramsh also appeared, who downplayed the case, knowing full well that this scandal, bordering on crime, will be investigated by the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, which is headed by his brother.

"The health of Albanian children in kindergartens and nurseries is at the mercy of the 5D Manual tenders, and after children are poisoned, gangs threaten parents not to protest," says Xhaferri. /CNA
