Berisha: Edi Rama's departure should be the biggest goal of Albanians

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said today that with Edi Rama there are no free elections and the removal of Edi Rama should be the major goal of Albanians. In his speech during a media conference, Berisha said that the opposition never wins a farce.

Berisha accused Rama of buying votes with lek, cannabis, procurements and employment during the campaign.

Berisha added that the path the opposition is pursuing is a difficult battle, but not hopeless.

"For those who believe that with Edi Rama there are no free elections and of course the removal of Edi Rama should be the major goal of Albanians. The farce is never won by the opposition.

There are two ways. There is one way, boycotting the elections. If you read the resolution of April 30, voted by 82 political parties of the center-right of Europe, parties that govern Europe today, it is clear there that May 11 will be a farce, because Edi Rama during the campaign was buying votes with lek, buying votes with cannabis, buying votes with procurements, buying votes with employment.

And that the justice seized by Edi Rama did not stand up to all these crimes. In addition, a hearing was held in the European Parliament of the entire political spectrum of the parliament. And in this hearing, the elections were called an emergency.

Now, if we were faced with two paths, participation or non-participation. If you do not participate, you will choose the path of violence or the path of extinction. Either you will accept that I will no longer deal with politics here, or I will deal with and use force against this government that takes away your freedoms. That is one path.

The other path is the path we follow. The path in which we participate in the process, present all the real documents that were a farce and invite Albanians to fight for their vote. Both are difficult, but the second one has international support. The first one can create it, but initially it does not. The second one yes, here are the reports, here are the resolutions. So it is a difficult battle, but not hopeless", - said Berisha. /CNA
