Pec Earthquake Scandal/ Journalist Reveals the Truth

Journalist Telnis Skuqi has shared today a scandalous case involving the socialist Tërmet Peçi. Through a post on social media, Skuqi has told of an incident whose essence is the abuse of citizens' personal data.

Skuqi states that an employee of the Këlcyrë Municipality, Elda Xhakollari, knowingly handed over to his staff sensitive data of citizens transferred to USB sticks.

According to the journalist, this is a pure case of manipulation.

"I happened to be in a situation where an employee of the Këlcyrë Municipality, Elda Xhakollari, who in her statement admitted that she was on her way to a work meeting, knowingly handed over to the staff of a Socialist Party candidate (without his knowledge) sensitive data of citizens transferred to USB, that is, data that should never have been released outside the local government institution.

For weeks, this event has been deliberately distorted, being sold as an immorality scandal, while the truth is much more shocking: abuse of citizens' personal data.

Unfortunately for the lady in question, her husband was illegally following her with a GPS device and recording her every move.

And here the manipulation begins.

A political representative within the Socialist Party, with clear personal interests, used this event as a weapon to overthrow her party's candidate, not out of moral concern, but to pave the way for her friend who was quietly waiting to take his mandate.

A classic attempt to "kill two birds with one stone": cover up the data breach scandal and oust the incumbent candidate.

"I do not take a political side in this case, but I cannot remain silent when the truth is distorted and used to cover up a serious act, with legal consequences for the municipal employee," Skuqi writes./CNA
