Requested the video footage of the counting from the CEC/ Kalaja: I will follow

The DP candidate on the open list for the Durrës region, Aulon Kalaja, said today that he will fight to the end for votes from the parliamentary elections of May 11. Invited to a television studio, Kalaja stated that he has requested from the CEC the video footage of the voting for both political entities and candidates, as he wants to see the entire counting process.

Kalaja stated that he does not prejudge the process, but will continue his battle against the counting issue.

Kalaja requested that the Prosecution conduct all investigations.  

"I am the first to have filed 2 requests with the CEC, the video footage and the recount of the boxes, initially in Kruja and Durres. I also had a session at the KAS. I spent 9 days watching the counting up close and also the Diaspora vote. I saw the counters sleeping on the stairs. I asked the CEC to see the video footage for both the subjects and the candidates. The CEC is making it available to me, the footage is being copied. I have been informing the CEC for 9 days, but I understand that tomorrow the summary of the Durres results will be released, they have given us 72 hours to see the footage. I have the time codes where the irregularities are. I had a session at the KAS where they initially rejected my request, where according to the electoral code, the CEC releases the result first, then we appeal and we are not legitimized. The DP seal is needed to allow the recount. I am collecting evidence, tomorrow the registration process ends "I will take it to the end, I don't want to prejudge the process, but I want to go to the end. I have spent 6 million old lek, I don't even give it to a car. I only have a phone, I haven't laid out iftar or anything like that. I didn't pay to appear on TV for the campaign. I will take my mission to the end, I am for transparency, I will go to the end of this battle. The prosecution must investigate and go to the end," said Kalaja./CNA
