Belind Këlliçi: We will seek Ilir Alimehmet's mandate

Belind Këlliçi spoke about the May 11 elections, stating that he suspects that there is manipulation of invalid votes.

In an interview with A2CNN, Këlliçi said that there were over 17,000 invalid votes in Tirana and he will make a request for their re-evaluation.

He emphasized that Ilir Alimehmeti's mandate was lost by a handful of votes and will not be surrendered as the invalid votes may be enough for Alimehmeti to receive the deputy's mandate.

"In the diaspora, there were boxes with a result of 97% in favor of the Socialist Party. This happened with the votes of Greece. A calligraphy expert would have evidenced that it is a hand that has filled hundreds of votes. It is a pity that an opportunity that was given to Albanians abroad was spoiled by the state party. We thought that DHL would stand by all commitments. In Greece, DHL has subcontracted the distribution of envelopes to two local companies. We have made these violations public.
