Official opening of Group-Chapter 3/ Rama: Only 11 more chapters remain

This afternoon, the 5th Intergovernmental Conference between Albania and the EU took place in Brussels, which approved the opening of accession negotiations with Albania on 8 chapters included in Cluster 3: "Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth".

Regarding the conference, a reaction also came from Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Through a status on social networks, Rama writes that so far negotiations have been opened for 24 chapters and 11 more remain to be opened.

The EU Council approved the opening of negotiations for 8 new chapters from Group 3:

Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth, which includes education, digitalization, employment, economic policy, taxation and innovation.

"So far, negotiations have been opened for 24 chapters in just 8 months and only 11 more remain to be opened - an extremely high pace that shows Albania's progress and the EU's support to achieve the common objective of closing negotiations in 2027 ," Rama writes./ CNA
