Dashamir Shehi spoke again today regarding his resignation, following the results of the May 11 elections of the 'Right for Development' coalition. Shehi said that his resignation is not the end of the world and that with this action he set an example of democracy.

The sheikh said that it is time to pave the way for young people.

According to Shehi, people only vote for political leadership and not programs.

"I was the head of the coalition with the Right 1912 and I resigned. Society has also changed a lot. Why I resigned is not the end of the world. I set an example of democracy. New factors have also entered politics. We must pave the way for young people. LZHK has a name and I believe it will remain as a name. The SP won, because there was no alternative. The SP also lost in the votes, but the DP lost many more votes. Even programs are not voted on, people wonder if what they vote for will bring them to power. People only vote for political leadership, not programs. I also negotiated with other small parties for a coalition, but I did not succeed. We lost the battle without entering the elections. I have been outside parliament twice and I can do politics outside parliament too", - said Shehi. /CNA
