The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared this Wednesday that the opposition is making sure that the preliminary report from the May 11 elections reaches the European chancelleries and beyond. Berisha said that for the opposition, May 11 was not an election day, but a farce electoral day.

Berisha, during his speech at a press conference, said that the DP is sensitizing the international community to this development.

Berisha described this step as an objective of the DP's work and emphasized that on May 11, the basic principles of free elections were violated.

"No letter has been sent. A letter is a letter, a report is a report. It is a preliminary report, which has been distributed to a number of addresses in Europe and the USA. A very preliminary report, which has nothing other than what I am saying here, not a single paragraph, not a single line. We are sensitizing the international community about the electoral farce that occurred on May 11. This is the objective of our work and we will succeed. Regardless of the circumstances, no one can trample on the fundamental principles of free elections, which were violated together with the will of the Albanian citizens in the most ruthless way", - said Berisha. /CNA
