Member of the DP leadership and candidate for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, stated today that none of the candidates on the closed list of the DP should avoid responsibility for the defeat in the May 11 parliamentary election race.

Invited to a television studio, Këlliçi said that Albanians have seen firsthand the intimidation of the elections.

Këlliçi added that the DP has proof and facts for everything it declares and will send them to international partners.

"Without a doubt, we should not evade our responsibilities. There will undoubtedly be a measurement of the performance of each candidate on the closed list. This electoral code, which I hope will never be used for elections again, I have never agreed with it, but this has been the decision-making, the stance of the party in power, they have imposed it with the votes they have, this electoral code is a product of Edi Rama, it is the most defective code that Albanian pluralism has ever produced. Starting from me, every person will have to be analyzed, how much they have worked, the objective they have achieved, but this is our issue. Of course, no one evades responsibility, starting from me and others who had the privilege of being on the lists for deputies. We should not waste time with denunciations, for what all Albanians saw, for the intimidation of state employees. We have proof and facts for everything we declare, and we will present them to our international partners", said Këlliçi. /CNA
