The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was asked in a television appearance whether the opposition would participate if the Municipality of Tirana went to early elections.

Berisha said that it is a decision that will be made by the party forums, but he himself does not advise non-participation. Regarding a possible candidacy of Ilir Alimehmet, Berisha said that it is up to him to decide whether to run for mayor.

The Democratic Party leader was also asked about the possible candidacy of Agron Shehaj and whether the DP would support him.
