Prime Minister Edi Rama has given an interview to Austrian television ORF.

During the interview, Rama focused on the integration process, which he said is a historic opportunity.

However, it is not an opportunity that lasts forever, the head of government declared.

Prime Minister Rama also touched on the case of France, where a referendum is being called for the admission of new countries to the EU, which he said will be seen when the time comes.

 

“ It is true that two and a half years is a very short time and that this is not typical for the process. But on the other hand, we worked hard and prepared well. And now we also have artificial intelligence in use, which accelerates the transfer of EU laws and the so-called acquis communautaire into our legal system. The accession process is a historic opportunity, but it is not an opportunity that will last forever if we are not able to meet the requirements.

"I believe that today we should focus on fulfilling our commitments. We should not think about the next game, but about the one we are currently playing. And this game is about fulfilling all our commitments to complete the negotiations. After the negotiations, the agreement is sent to all member states, where parliaments normally carry out the ratification. In the case of France, we will see when the moment of decision comes ," Rama said./ CNA
