Eurojust Representative for Italy Gianluca Forlani, in a joint press statement at the conclusion of the mega-operation 'Ura' by SPAK and the Italian anti-mafia, said that the cooperation with SPAK was successful. Forlani emphasized that there was no information leak during this action.

Forlani stated that every part of the action, from judges, law enforcement, information exchange, DIA, the new judicial police in SPAK, was achieved thanks to the joint commitment between the two countries.

"Thanks go to everyone, and with everyone's contribution we have managed to build an investigation that goes beyond borders. Everything from judges, law enforcement, information exchange, DIA, the new judicial police in SPAK, if by working together we put in our commitment, we can reach levels that were previously difficult to achieve. In these years of cooperation, we can manage to perfect our achievements.

Everything that comes, as well as the resources received from Eurojust, and the cooperation with other countries, but also with new sources, which brings Italian law closer to Albanian law as collaborators of justice, have made an even greater contribution to the investigation. To reach economic flows, that is, to follow money across borders. Borders are no longer an obstacle because there is this cooperation that has also allowed us to seize assets that have been created illegally.

"All illegal proceeds transported to Albania were investigated through a detailed analysis. The proof of this cooperation is our presence here today. We have decided to follow these measures in Albania and Italy we have done it with an international direction that allowed the information not to spread. We share the same results because we are a joint team that is perfecting itself over time", - said Forlani. /CNA
