The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, declared today that the only solution to what the opposition calls an electoral farce is the creation of a caretaker government and the holding of new elections. In his speech during a press conference, Berisha stated that the elections will not be recognized.

The leader of the Democratic Party said that the DP's position is to hold new elections where Albanians can vote freely.

Berisha added that the election result came as a result of the 'Bulgarian train' method.

"The criminal at the head of the municipality is the mentor of other criminals to realize the 'Bulgarian train' in the most illegal, most unconstitutional way. So this is the true face of Edi Rama, the true face of these elections, which will never be known."

Those who think that they can impose their will on Albanian citizens in this way and can stay in power are very, very wrong. There is only one solution, the solution is urgent, the creation of a technical government, the holding of new elections, Albanians voting freely. This is our position.

We have hundreds of endless documents of the destruction, of the transformation of the electoral process into an electoral farce. So this is the real electoral farce and we want Albanians to vote and not suffer the electoral farce and its consequences.

We will stand with all our potential, our power, so that Albanians vote as free citizens of a country and not experience shameful electoral farces that are the same as those in Zimbabwe 30 years ago.

I believe you have it clear, you see it yourself. Everything is predetermined results. I can tell you that you will see ballot boxes in which 200 sheets one after the other have the same fold.
