7 thousand thanks came as the best gratitude that DP candidate Ted Kopliku chose to convey to his supporters who voted for him in the May 11 elections.

"I thank you all because you made me feel like your son and you kept me grounded, all the more so for a young man like me who received support that I had never expected. The rules of the game are set by the strongest and the strongest of this game is a regime that shows no mercy and no forgiveness. Then there are other strongmen who have set some rules of the game that I had decided to follow and you will never hear me complaining about the rules of the game that I accepted. Dictatorships have no other face than this one where people are not free to decide and think. With all the manipulations that have been done, with the Bulgarian train and with all the mechanisms that the regime used, still 7 thousand votes were excessive for me from a man like me who 6 months ago was unpacking my suitcases after coming from France, with 7 years separated from Albania, without much time at my disposal, without much experience and above all with a political party that has gone through many difficulties. Despite this, your support was extraordinary. I call this loss of mine a victory because I have gained your trust and I promise you that I will not take this trust back. The main problem that Albania has today is for Albanians to vote freely. I have understood you for the message that you have given me through your vote because today there is a need for a new model in politics. I want to build this model in the future and I ask you not to leave me alone in the political battles that await us to defend Albania and its future ", said Kopliku.

Young people, mainly first-time voters, but also Democrat exponents, explained the reasons why their vote was in support of Koplik.

" For me, it was the first campaign I participated in and I had the great fortune to be part of Ted Kopliku's team in the May 11 elections. Ted Kopliku was always among us, equal to us and made us believe in ourselves."
