Prime Minister Edi Rama gave some explanations today regarding his metaphors towards the opposition. In an interview with A2CNN, Rama stated that when he says 'swamp' he is not being bully, as according to him this is related to a concrete reality.

Rama said that the opposition has remained at the mercy of a hopeless individual who has taken him hostage.

Rama said that Berisha was given this status by many people who accepted everything from him.

Rama said that few of the winners from the primaries remained in the race, adding that it is not known where those contestants are from a political point of view.

"The swamp is not bullying. It is a metaphor for a very concrete and very tangible reality. Our opposition is a swamp, it is stagnant water. It is at the mercy of a hopeless individual who has taken the entire opposition hostage, while he can barely connect his own sentences, because age has also taken its toll. So it is a swamp.

This individual, who has actually taken on a status, a status that you all have given him, by accepting all the kinds of tar and paint that he spits out every day for anyone outside the perimeter of the swamp, for me personifies the swamp owl exactly.
