Meeting in Peqin/Berisha: The difference between the minimum and maximum salary

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was present at the presentation of the candidates in the city of Peqin.

In his speech, the Democratic Party leader said that in the first 100 days of the DP government, there will be no pension below 200 euros and no salary below 500 euros.

Berisha also said that the average salary will be 1250 euros.

" How did high salaries come about in Albania? Today, Albanian officials receive the highest salaries in the Balkans."

Today the difference between the minimum wage and the highest wage is 14-15 times, more than any other country on the planet. There may be a sultan or a king, but there is no country that sets such a gap between the high and low wage as here. That is why I am here today to ask all of you, all the citizens of Peqin, all the farmers of Peqin, to unite to vote for change. With our vote we can make not just a change, but an epochal change.

Because in the first 100 days I assure you that there will be no pensioner with a pension below 200 euros. And today with a pension below 172 euros are 57 percent of all pensioners. I assure you that on May 11, with your vote, you make an epochal change because after May 11 in the first 100 days there will be no salaried employee with a salary lower than 500 euros in Albania. And that the average salary will be 1250 euros. There will be no teacher with a salary below 1500 euros", said Berisha./ CNA
