"We belong to Europe, not Asia"/ Rama: Pseudo-patriots have done us

Prime Minister Edi Rama held the closing election meeting in Saranda this Saturday. In his speech, Rama emphasized the importance of the May 11 elections, which he considered historic for the country.

Rama stated that a vote in these parliamentary elections is a vote for a mission and national interest.

According to Rama, the vote for integration is an aspiration that begins with the prophecy of Skanderbeg.

"What makes May 11 a historic moment is not that it will be decided between a few parties, but that it is important for the hopes and dreams of the people. Not every election is an opportunity to meet history."

The only meeting was in March 1992, where the majority voted for the DP, not because they were with the DP, but because they had a moment of choice to separate the past from the future and a system that had come to an end. May 11 is very similar to March 22 because the vote has great weight.

The vote carries the weight of a responsibility for fulfilling a national mission and in the service of a national interest, which is Albania's membership in the European Union.

"Before, it was a matter of aspirations, which they inherited, because it starts with the prophecy of Gjergj Kastrioti. We belong to Europe, not Asia," Rama said.

Meanwhile, Rama implied that many things have gone wrong in Albania because of pseudo-patriots.

"Many things have happened that pseudo-patriots blame on the external enemy. What the evil Albanians have done to this country, not even foreigners have done to it."

"The people took to the streets unorganized. There was no one to guide them, but they were released into the air and formed like a rainbow in the sky after a storm," Rama said./CNA
