The candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition for the municipality of Tirana, Belind Kelliçi, sued the director of the Territory Protection Inspectorate for Tirana, Mariglen Qaton, yesterday.

It is known that Kelliçi submitted the lawsuit against the director of Erion Veliaj to SPAK and BKH.

The opposition candidate has filed 10 charges against Mariglen Qatos, whom he denounced even before that he employed his close people in the municipality and received millions of euros in tenders from the Municipality of Tirana.

Specifically, he sued the director of the IM for the charges: "Exercise of illegal influence on persons exercising public functions", "abuse of duty", "illegal benefit of interests", "concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of public servants, or of any other person who has a legal obligation to declare", "violation of the equality of participants in public tenders or auctions", "cleaning of criminal proceeds", "appropriation of money or goods derived from a criminal offense , or criminal activity", "Crime avoidance", "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions".

Meanwhile, we remember that a few days ago, Këlliçi publicly denounced that Mariglen Qato has benefited from a 25 million euro tender from the Municipality of Tirana, although he is a direct subordinate of Erion Veliaj.

He asked the Special Prosecutor's Office to investigate the corruption, which according to him is proven by documents signed by the mayor Erion Veliaj./ CNA.al
