Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha received today, in an official meeting at the ministry premises, the US Chargé d'Affaires in Tirana, Nancy VanHorn, and the staff accompanying her.

Minister Hoxha has revealed details from this meeting, which he describes as "a fruitful conversation about bilateral relations and cooperation accompanied by increasing results."

“I informed Ms. VanHorn about the engagement of the structures of the Ministry of Interior, especially the Police and the Civil Registry Office, in relation to the duties and responsibilities for the May 11 electoral process, as well as some data from the recent survey that measures the public's perception of security and the work of the Police,” emphasizes Hoxha.

At the same time, the Minister of Interior expressed his gratitude to VanHorn for the contribution of the American side and the partnership, especially for the State Police and other law enforcement agencies, in order to increase security for citizens in both countries./ CNA
