Prime Minister Edi Rama today, in a conversation with commentators, answered questions regarding justice.

He stated that justice has been freed from the clutches of politics and now acts independently of both the left and the right.

The Prime Minister also took aim at Veliaj, stating that the SP has people who, unfortunately, belong to justice today and no longer to the SP path.

"Not that I avoid it, I have a lot to say, there is a constant discussion, this one or that one was put in prison. These are billed as the fault or responsibility of the SP. Without our will, what is happening would not happen, that justice would be freed from its clutches and act regardless of which side it belongs to.

It has never happened that a political person has been brought before an independent court.

We are talking about independent institutions. This is an achievement of the SP. This should not be discussed at all. There is a party that fights for the state. Even the SP has people in this process who unfortunately belong to justice and not to the path of the SP. But having said all this, today there is no more corruption, there is less. If there were more corruption, Albania would not be sitting at the EU table.

"If there were more corruption, Albania would not be the first in the region for public procurement, tenders and transparency. Albania is the first. This is what Sigma says. There is no question that corruption is a problem that must be addressed," said Rama./ CNA
