Democratic Party MP Tomor Alizoti spoke on the "Task Force" show from Germany, where he and party leader Sali Berisha were participating in the CDU congress. Alizoti stressed that the respect for the DP and Berisha was maximum, while adding that all those who said that the DP was isolated are wrong.

"We are here in the CDU congress hall, it just ended, because usually when it's before the campaign it lasted from 12 noon to 5 pm or so. Merz's speech usually lasts 3 to 4 hours at the congress, but since the elections are on the 23rd, it was short."

I want to sum it up in two words: the victory of the CDU is very important for Germany, the victory of the right in a country like Germany is very important for Europe. It is also very important for us as the DP, who have gone through a very difficult time, namely a fight not to exist, a fight with terms, with analysts, with people, with thinkers there in our country, who say that the DP does not exist, its leader is not coming out.

So, we, together with the chairman of the DP, were sitting in the second row at the CDU congress. In front of us was De Maizière, the former defense minister, and behind us was the president of Ukraine. The respect and appreciation for the DP, for Berisha, for us was quite great, and the meeting between the doctor and Merz was very cordial.

We met Lindemann, Abraham, Jürgen Hartz and many others and I say that the DP has started a good path. Those who say that the DP was isolated, here we are, in the middle of the CDU congress, and I think it is good news, a good beginning for the right in Albania, that we are close to power.

I know that in Albania there will be comments and it is everyone's right to make comments, but the fact is that the doctor, the leader of the DP, was in the front row of the CDU, the most important European party and the most important country in Europe, such as Germany. This is a fact, the rest is of little importance.

The motive of the congress was conservatism, the right, the free market, tax cuts, a program of the typical German right. There, misunderstandings sometimes arise, both emotionally and maliciously, all together.

I can only tell you a few elements: Jürgen Hartz is very important in German foreign policy, he came especially to meet the doctor with great kindness. Some know him from time as a political figure. I was also impressed by the meeting with Merz, who was very cordial with the doctor, very natural. What can I say, the doctor is a political figure who has known him for 30 years, who once met important parts of the CDU.

The DP today is in its right-wing nature and this is good news for us. I now believe that we should focus on the future. Tomorrow the doctor comes to Albania, we leave for America. I believe that we have had super good meetings, until we met the candidate for chancellor. Other meetings are important, but not as much as the one we had today. Today I think that the goal was achieved brilliantly", said Alizoti. /CNA
