The Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu, held a meeting today with the groups drafting the 2025 State Matura test, which are working to finalize the question bank for the Matura exams.

During the meeting, Minister Manastirliu emphasized the Ministry's commitment to guaranteeing a regular, transparent and fair process for all high school graduates, ensuring that the testing will be conducted with high standards and in complete security conditions.

"In this important process of the State Matura, we started in November with the establishment of the State Matura Committee. We continued in January with the distribution of model tests to all matura students, to familiarize them with the model tests year after year and to familiarize them with their level of difficulty. The groups for drafting the Matura exam question fund have now been established and you are here. You have started working and the question fund will need to be crystallized very soon, so that the Matura exam tests can be issued according to the procedural deadlines, in absolute confidentiality and this is very important", said the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastiriu.

The Minister also emphasized the importance of an objective and meritocratic assessment for students, guaranteeing maximum standards starting from the process of designing tests to their administration.

"Student achievements should be tested through an assessment that is as accurate, effective and meritocratic as possible, just as we need to ensure that the administration process, in relation to the Educational Services Center, from printing tests, sending them to schools, security elements, and all of these are followed at every step," said Manastirliu.

Meanwhile, applications for Form A1 are now open for all current high school graduates who wish to take the State Matura exams. This form is available online through the e-Albania portal, ensuring a streamlined and accessible application process for all high school graduates. Applications for Form A1 will be open until February 12, 2025.

Meanwhile, Form A1Z is for candidates who have completed their education in previous years and wish to participate in the State Matura exams. The application period for this form is shorter, starting on February 11 and ending on February 12, 2025./CNA
