Harito Zoto is also in the May 26 race for the head of the Democratic Party of Korça. The political engagement in this political force for the candidate started about 13 years ago, while he comes from a persecuted family and grew up with the democratic spirit since childhood. In an interview for CNA TV, Zoto tells more about his figure, saying that even today, the democratic spirit has not stopped.

"I am from the city of Korça, I am 47 years old. I have been involved in politics for many years, I started my higher studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Korça, I also finished my master's degree in this faculty. High school I completed it at the 'Raqi Qirinxhi' high school. I started my involvement in politics 12-13 years ago and I come from a persecuted political family, with a past, the imprisonment of my grandfather. We also have a democratic spirit rich in the family and the whole family was engaged in PD. This was the first moment for me to grow up and continue with this democratic spirit."

Zoto decided to run to run the PD of Korça first as an investment for himself, and then for the political force he joins as well as for the future of the children and the city. "I want to be a strong voice in DP" - he says.

"I decided to run because I see it as an investment for myself, for the political force I join, I also see it for the future of our children and the city of Korça. I want to be a strong voice in the DP and give strong messages . I want to give a message of unity that I wish all of us to unite for the same ideal and I would forcefully teach the DP structures to be all for the same goal."

Regarding the current situation, there seems to be some kind of neglect or discontent among the Democrats. This is what must end within the right, uniting and being a single body, this fact has been shown over the years since 1992 when the democratic spirit spread to the citizens. The goal and aim of Harito Zoto is the reunification of the democrats, leaving behind the pastimes and the revival of the Democratic Party in the city of Korça.

"The current situation in DP again I am reiterating that we must all be united for the same ideal. It is very important what I say and I want to teach the fact that we are all as one body, because We have shown this over the years and we have been the first to bring this democratic spirit since 1992. I want to continue with that democratic spirit and I want to convey this message to all the democrats in Korça and beyond that I want to reiterate the fact of the unification of the Korça democrats, without colors and without personal fun because maybe somewhere there can be, but I am not and will never be for fun. Maybe this is part of my character, I want things to spread more widely, both in the PD family, and I think in my family as well. I'm always in favor of a calming of the situations, of the happenings."

As for the meetings during these 3 days that Harito Zoto is officially running for the head of the branch, it seems that the spirit is very positive. The Democrats are waiting for a change, with the call for a regular election process, while the primary remains their union.

"The meetings have gone very well, I see a commitment from the Democrats, maybe because they too are looking forward to a change precisely for a campaign and a regular election process. I am getting used to the fact that I want and it should be a regular election process, because as I said before, we have shown that we know how to do regular processes and I think that this will be the continuation. Unity! For me, for all the democrats of Korça and beyond, I say it sincerely."

Harito Zoto is the third official candidate, alongside Dhimitri Çyfek and Eleina Qiric, all three candidates with the sole aim of uniting the democrats and also reestablishing this branch. After May 26, Korça will have the new chairman of the Democratic Party, who will have the most difficult job in this current situation in front of a corrupt government that must leave as soon as possible./ CNA
