The member of the Presidency of the DP, Grigels Muçollari, denounced today from the blue headquarters that food security is one of the biggest failures of this government.

Muçollari also published a document, where according to him it is shown that on January 12 of this year, the announcement came from the European Commission that a large shipment of lickers for children entered our country, in the content of which there are pieces of metal.

He emphasized that the AKU has not done its job as it has not taken any measures for the case in question.

"AKU should have control filters to provide the citizens with the product that has been allowed to be sold on the market, but even after the announcement in RASFF, there was neither communication of the risk nor blocking of the product in question", Muçollari said. .

Muçollari called on the justice institutions to start the investigations an hour earlier, since such products containing harmful and poisonous substances continue to circulate freely at a serious risk to the lives of children.

Albania faces many problems, scandals and challenges every day.

One of the most alarming problems, which in the opinion of the Democratic Party rises to the rank of national security, is the total lack of food safety, standards and guarantees for what Albanians and our children consume every day.

Food security is one of the government's biggest failures. It is not only the lack of attention to food safety and standards, above all it is corruption. You see the consequences every day: Increasing diseases due to expired products, due to toxic elements banned by other countries, harmful to health, poisonous and carcinogenic.

The government, through law enforcement agencies, should protect us. Specifically, through AKU that has the authority, the law, the funds, the team, to assure us that the products we buy are harmless, nutritious, not poisonous. They improve, not shorten, life.

AKU has not fulfilled its duty.

We will bring to the public's attention a document obtained from the RASFF, the European Commission's system that guarantees a quick response to food industry products that contain dangerous substances or are outside the permitted standard.

AKU should not only sound the alarm, but should immediately block the product in question, protecting the interests and lives of citizens.

AKU has remained silent because the bribe money he received has silenced him and the communication channels.

This government agency should not only be dissolved, but should also be held accountable before the law for cases where it has failed to protect citizens.

We call on the justice institutions to start investigations an hour earlier, as such products containing harmful and poisonous substances continue to circulate freely at serious risk to children's lives.

In the following days, we will have several more denunciations, at least nine more cases, of open abuse and endangering the lives of citizens.

We call on the citizens to be careful and protect themselves, as the government does not go to work to protect them, but to kill them. Leaving to escape government barrages is not an option. The government must be overthrown./ CNA
