Berisha gave Meta 3 MPs/ Murrizi ironically: That's why we have been in

Former Democratic MP Myslim Murrizi reacted today after it was announced this Thursday that the Democratic Party would 'loan' 3 MPs to the Freedom Party and Ilir Meta, as part of a previously expressed agreement between the two parties.

Through a post on social media, Murrizi ironically states that the 'renting' of MPs is going wonderfully.

According to Murriz, after this, it is pointless to ask why the DP has been in opposition for 16 years.

"Renting" MPs is miraculously going well for parties without votes

This "renting" of deputies from the Democratic Party to parties that have not even received the votes for a single mandate is becoming common - and I am "liking" it more and more, ironically.

In the May 11 elections, the entire opposition received 50 deputies.
Of these:

4 were from LSI,

1 of the PR,

1 of the PDIU,

1 of the Human Rights Convention,

1 of the Agrarian Party.
So, the DP was left with 42 MPs, not counting any "transfers" coming from the SMI or the SP.

But what is happening with these 42 mandates?

It is said that 3 will be given to the SMI to reach the quota to create a parliamentary group with 7 deputies.

6 others will pass to Fatmir Mediu for another parliamentary group.

6 more MPs will go to the Agrarian Party.

In the end, the DP only has 27 MPs left.
Why not? Let's give 6 more to the PDIU, so that with 1500 votes it can have a parliamentary group.
Why not "rent" also the PBDNJ of Dule, which did not receive any votes, but still has a parliamentary group?

Let the DP keep 15 MPs.
Of these, why not give 5 to Agron Shehu so that he can also create a parliamentary group?

And the DP will actually remain with 10 MPs. That's right, for a "chess club".

This allocation of mandates - which are actually democrat votes - to create fictitious parliamentary groups, solely for financial gain and to employ 2-3 family members as "advisors" or "secretaries" of the group, is pure abuse.

Why should Albanians behave like stoic voters, when their representatives sell their mandates like a commodity on the market?
Why are democrats required to be loyal and "honest" with their votes, when their very votes are used as currency to strengthen parties that have always been against them?

And then we ask: "Why have we been in opposition for 16 years?", writes Murrizi./CNA
