Modernization of the Armed Forces / Albania will soon receive LMV2 armored

Albania is ready for an important step in the modernization of the Armed Forces.

According to Iveco Defence Vehicle reporting, Albania will soon receive the first LMV2 armored vehicles.

The program is funded by the European Union through the European Peace Facility and implemented by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AID).

What are LMV2 armored vehicles?

The LMV2 is the second generation Light Multirole Vehicle developed by IDV (Iveco Defence Vehicles).

 Designed for improved tactical mobility, crew protection and operational versatility, featuring increased payload, a 220 hp engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission and a modular roof for weapons systems.

The LMV2 offers improved protection against ballistic and explosive threats, a new digital situational awareness panel, advanced electronic systems and simplified maintenance, making it suitable for various military missions, including patrol, command, reconnaissance and medical evacuation.

The LMV2 can be configured for reconnaissance, troop transport, command or specialized missions, making it a highly adaptable platform for various operational needs.
