The Ambassador of Switzerland, Ruth Huber, from Lini i Pogradec, appealed to the political parties that they should work together to guarantee that the diaspora also votes in the upcoming elections.

According to the Swiss ambassador, the final decision on the emigrant vote and the modalities should be taken by the Albanian institutions and political parties.

"The decision on the vote of immigrants is a decision that must be taken by the political parties together. I can only say that we Swiss citizens have the right to vote even when we live abroad and I understand that this is an important issue for the Albanian diaspora that is many. We also work in the CEC to strengthen the capacities. But the final decision on the vote of the immigrants must be taken by the Albanian institutions and the political parties", she said.
