Don't overdo it, IFTAR, with a spoon around your waist and a camera around your neck

Don't overdo it, IFTAR, with a spoon around your waist and a camera around

Since social networks have become one of the strongest powers, politicians can be seen almost everywhere with their cinematographers complete with the latest film technology.

So much so that their movements have become predictable, the same as saying that today is Friday or tomorrow is Saturday.

We are already used to it and disgust has given way to understanding because many of them know as much as they do by infecting each other with clever strategies.

Today you can see them as protagonists even in the holy month of Ramadan, and this is one of those miracles that are not easily explained.

In the month when the true essence of religion appears, politics appears not as the art of the possible, but as the art of hypocrisy!

Special iftar dish: The public display of fasting.

Many may wonder: When did the political leaders understand so well and deeply the religious traditions in general and those of Islam in particular?

The paradox could not be more complete no matter how hard you try.

Politicians, who all the time do not remember the injunctions of the holy books (by law or not) even if you served them on a silver platter, suddenly become examples of Islamic virtue, quoting parts of the Koran with equal ease. which electoral promises do.

The Qur'an does not hesitate to highlight hypocrites and those who make a show. Surah Al-Ma'un (107:7) speaks of those "who only pretend"

The verses (revelations) of the Qur'an, especially those that rebuke the powerful, the people in power, suddenly take on a new meaning.

"O you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?" (Quran 61:2).

And what can you say to a politician who spends as much for the iftar table as for the campaign lunches? (He does not know that it is the month that feeds the soul and does not tear the stomach)

Perhaps he should be reminded of the commandment: "And when you govern the people, govern with justice (4:59)

or more bluntly: "do not covet each other's wealth" (2:189)

And it bothers me even more since we are in the time of SPAK: "Do not follow desires and avoid justice" (4:136)

The holy month is the time of self-restraint, it is the time (always) to "compete in goodness", but not to compete who sets the most luxurious iftar dinners.

Gentlemen should be reminded that it is the month when the soul should be fed more than the body.

And spiritual food cannot be served on a plate "decorated" with the perfume of hypocrisy.

Is this a reminder for those who post their charities on Facebook and Instagram, because how else will the electorate find out about the mercy and generosity of those who do not spend a single penny from Albanians, but only from the budget?

It is a repeated call in the holy book "do not overdo it" 7:32 and "race in goodness.

And as for our ubiquitous politicians, well done! The ability to turn a month of humility and spiritual reflection into a culinary gala is a "miracle".

And it would be an unquote miracle if this month enlightens them to the core of their duty which is service and sacrifice.

Until this day comes, let's eat today, and remember that tomorrow, we will vote! And since we are in the quotations of the holy book, it is worth remembering that "certainly, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their condition" 13:35
