Art in mourning/ Korça tenor Thanas Konini passes away

A bitter news has saddened the Korcars and music lovers this Sunday.

The tenor of the Lyra choir, Thanas Konini, has passed away at the age of 71.

It is learned that Thanas Konini was suffering from health problems, as he suffered an ischemia some time ago and his condition has worsened over the last few days.

He was one of the most popular choir members, part of the Lyra Choir for a lifetime. Thanas Konini was the tenor of the choir, with a special voice and was known by everyone for his talent.

He has performed as a soloist in the songs: "I love Albania more", "Oh my you with black eyes".

The people of Korça know him as Naska, with the voice that emanated from his kindness as a person, while during his career, Thanas Konini has sung in church, various concerts, tours inside Korça and abroad./ CNA
