Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti reacted today regarding the latest statements made by Serbian President Aleksandar Vu?i?.

In a press statement, Kurti stressed that in Kosovo there is no discrimination based on ethnicity, position or political influence.

"The Republic of Kosovo is democratic and legal with separate powers, consolidated institutions and equal application of the law. The rule of law does not discriminate based on ethnicity, position or political influence," Kurti said.

Kurti called on citizens to avoid traveling to Serbia.

"Avoid travel to Serbia, there are indications of arbitrary bans by Serbian authorities. Serbia is proving that it is not interested in normalization. Kosovo is determined to guarantee and maintain security," Kurti said.

In his latest reaction, the Serbian president stated that the detention of Serbian official Igor Popovic encourages provocations for conflicts in the Balkans.

"The recent arrest of Igor Popovic shows that Kurti has completely lost his mind and wants to provoke incidents and conflicts in the Western Balkans. This may have unpredictable consequences, but we will always fight to maintain peace and stability," Vu?i? said. /CNA
