Third constitutive session/ Kosovo MPs attempt to elect a female parliament speaker

Today at 3:00 PM, the deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo will hold another constitutive session.

In today's session, an attempt will be made to elect the Speaker and Deputy Speakers of the Assembly.

After failing in two sessions on Saturday, Vetëvendosje intends to once again propose the name of Albulena Haxhiu for the position of Speaker of Parliament.

The elected deputies of the LDK voted against Haxhiu's election, while those of the Social Democratic Initiative abstained.

Meanwhile, PDK, Serbian List and several AAK deputies did not participate in the vote.

AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj stated that his party would vote in favor if LVV proposed a name between Shqipe Selimi and Saranda Bogujevci for the position of parliamentary speaker./ CNA
