Kosovo Assembly members take oath

The deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo have voted on the report of the Temporary Committee for the Verification of Mandates and Quorum.

The report was approved by 119 deputies, the number present in the hall. The deputies of the LVV did not raise their hands to vote on the report until they were assured that those of the PDK, LDK and AAK were also voting for it,

The Chairman of the Commission, Artan Abrashi, presented to the deputies the report on the verification of mandates, based on the certification of the results by the CEC, which also contains the list of 120 new deputies.

The approval of this report paves the way for the swearing-in of the deputies of the ninth legislature of the Assembly of Kosovo.

After a unanimous vote on the report of the mandate of the deputies, the elected deputies took the oath in the Assembly of Kosovo.

They all stood up to read the text of the oath.

 

Text of the oath statement

"I, a member of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, swear that I will honorably and with dedication perform my duty and represent the people with dignity, work in the interest of Kosovo and all its citizens, commit myself to the protection and respect of constitutionality and legality, to the protection of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and institutional integrity of Kosovo, to the guarantee of human rights and freedoms, in accordance with the laws of the country.
I swear!"
