Voting fails again/ Session to elect Albulena Haxhiu as Speaker of Kosovo

Vetëvendosje's proposal for the position of Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, has not passed the approval vote.

 With 57 votes in favor, 20 against, and 3 abstentions, Albulena Haxhiu was not voted in as Speaker of the Assembly, as reported by local media.

The elected MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albulena Haxhiu, has declared that she will once again be the name proposed by her party for the position of Speaker of the Parliament, even after two failed attempts in the session for the constitution of the ninth legislature, due to the lack of the necessary votes.

Haxhiu has blamed opposition parties for institutional gridlock by not voting for the president and vice presidents.

According to her, the Vetëvendosje Movement will propose the same name again in Monday's session.

Albulena Haxhiu did not receive enough votes in today's two attempts for the post of Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly. The next session is scheduled for Monday at 15:00. /CNA
