Citizens of Kosovo with 6.26 billion euro savings in banks

Deposits of Kosovo citizens continue to grow in commercial banks.

The Central Bank has announced that customer deposits in July 2024 have reached the value of 6.26 billion euros, marking an increase of 120.79 million euros, or 1.97% compared to the previous month.

The value of new loans in July 2024 was 228.8 million euros, while the average interest rate on loans in July 2024 was 6.17% (in June it was 6.12%).

"The value of new deposits in July 2024 was 164.4 million euros. The average interest rate on deposits in July 2024 was 3.04% (in June 2024 it was 2.89%)", CBK announces.

The interest rate difference on loans and deposits in July 2024 was 3.12% (from 3.23% in June). The loan-deposit ratio in July 2024 was at the level of 86.24%.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo announces that the total capital of commercial banks at the end of July 2024 reached the value of 906.39 million euros, while loan provisions increased by 0.18 million euros or 0.12% compared to the previous month, reaching the value of 144.01 million euros .

"The assets of commercial banks at the end of July 2024 reached the value of 7.66 billion euros, marking an increase of 0.85% compared to the previous month, mainly due to the increase in gross loans, which at the end of July reached the value of 5.39 billion euros. Compared to the previous month, gross loans in July 2024 have increased by 47.89 million euros or 0.90%"./ Monitor Magazine
