"We can be hit directly by Moscow", the EU prepares the plan for

The European Union has already prepared the plan for sending training missions to Ukraine, as part of cooperation with Kiev in the war against Russia. The well-known German media, Die Welt, owns the confidential document which is titled, 'Strategic Review of the EU Training Mission in Ukraine'.

The document will be discussed at the next meeting by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense of the European Union. The document clearly states that Kiev expects up to 150,000 new recruits as a result of the May mobilization, and ten new infantry brigades will be created.

However, the European Union is very skeptical about this plan. "When training on Ukrainian territory, the overall threat situation for EU soldiers is 'critical'. "The fact that Russia could reach any part of Ukraine with ballistic missiles and drones would result in the highest level of threat to EU military personnel," the EU document said.

Diplomats who are discussing such a risky venture believe they could be seen by Moscow as belligerents.

"EU soldiers may be seen by Russia as actively involved in the conflict and therefore cause unpredictable kinetic reactions. This includes the shooting of drones and missiles from the Sea of ??Azov, Russia and Belarus, but also the explosion of grenades, sabotage and cyber attacks. The request of the European External Diplomatic Service is clear: "strong evacuation plans" are needed in any case", quotes A2 CNN, referring to the EU document.

France is one of the main EU countries that absolutely wants the Europeans to comply with Kiev's request and, in addition to the actual training, train soldiers in Ukraine. Paris is supported by the Baltic states, Poland, Denmark and Sweden.

The German federal government, on the other hand, is against training Ukrainian soldiers in the field. She fears further escalation and incalculable risks. Berlin's stance has so far been supported by Malta, Austria, Slovenia and Hungary./ CNA
